Terenda has been called to serve in the area of Childhood and Family Ministry. It is imperative that we reach the families in our communities by building relationships that change lives. The children are our future and laying a strong biblical foundation in the early years is a mandate from God, I Corinthians 3:10-11. Childhood ministry is more than just Sunday morning, it is about building God’s Kingdom by investing in the lives of children, their parents and those who lead and teach the children.  My passion is to see each member of the family come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord and to grow in their understanding of living a life for Christ.  This is accomplished through age graded children’s programs that are biblical based and child centered.  Every time the child is at church it should be a time of learning, fun and building relationships.  Relationship building is essential to building a Bible teaching partnership with the parents.

She has served as a Childhood Minister at Swansea Church for 10 years and New Christian Fellowship, Consultant for both VBS and Sunday School with IBSA and ABSA, Assistant Preschool Ministry Director at 1st Baptist Maryville, and is currently the Director of Childhood Ministries at Sterling Baptist Church. She also serves as the Ministry Assistant for Grace and Hope Ministries. Terenda is a graduate of Liberty University, a certified Precept Leader and a Registered Nurse.

Terenda is married to Lt. Col. (retired) Dale A. Wyant and they have one daughter Dr. Erin Wyant.
